Information:

Newton Packaging Limited is very much a modern breed of company – spurred on by the vision of Managing Director Luke Verrall.

The company cares about its customers, and welcomes the advice of its suppliers. When Storwell were asked to design a warehouse storage system in recently acquired premises in Redditch, Newtown Packaging were given the benefit of a quarter of a century experience.

“We need to get the very best out of the space,” says Storwell Director, Sanat Shelat. “It was vital that we maximised the space, while ensuring all products could be retrieved efficiently by forklift trucks which could manoeuvre easily in the aisles.”

A tall order? Some companies might be tempted to simply sell a lot of metal racking without caring about what happened after it was installed.
Not Storwell. “We like to go that extra mile. We look for a long lasting relationship with all our clients, so we took the trouble to investigate the best fork lift trucks also – at no cost to the client,” says Sanat.

The contract involved 400 Europ and Chep pallet locations within Newton Packaging’s 4,500 sqm (15,000 sq ft) warehouse. It was supplied and installed from stock in two weeks.
As part of the contract Storwell recommended pillar guards to prevent damage from forklift trucks.
“This will ensure the installation is long-lasting,” said Sanat.
