Tradex Insurance – London Finance Quarter February 2009
Storwell Systems were invited to offer their storage solutions advise to Tradex a leading Insurance specialist in the city of London.Their Minories offices located in the heart of London’s finance quarter just expanded having taken over the business of another Insurance company Westminster and combined their two client bases into one office in the same space.
They wanted a high density storage solution but mobile shelving or mobile storage was not going to work in the room layouts available.
Storwell System came up with lockable tambour door storage cabinets that used the full ceiling height and entire wall space available to its best extent. The cabinets were finished in ice white and silver doors for a stylish and modern appearance.
Static open steel shelving provided extensive storage capacity for the remaining client files.
The whole system was delivered and installed in one operation.

Caribbean food specialists Sunshine Foods had expansion plans firmly in their minds with a move to tap into the lucrative London Afro- Caribbean market when they contacted Storwell Systems Ltd.Mr Leroy Howes MD of Sunshine Foods wanted a space efficient pallet racking solution having just invested in a brand new 5000 sq ft warehouse facility in Croydon.
It had to be flexible and adapt to changing requirements quickly and easily.
Everything had to be purchased new even the forklift truck.
"You should be wary of truck salesman’s promises and assurances of safe operating turning circles for their trucks" said Mr Howes. Their maximum is everyone else’s minimums. Always add 300 to 500mm to their estimates is probably sound advice.
Storwell designed a Pallet Racking system using Link51 pallet racking which stood 6000mm high with 3 storage beam levels per bay with an overall capacity of nearly 180 pallets.
