Gwent Police – Uniform Stores

Gwent Police needed a space efficient Uniforms store solution to meet the needs of its extensive police force for new and replacement uniform attire.

Every year new recruits need to come into the Gwent Police HQ centre at Cwmbran and get measured up then issued with a full set of uniforms, hats and equipment.

As you can imagine nearly every size and combination of coats, trouser, cardigans and hats needed to be stored and easily found.

Previously Gwent Police just had static shelving which was very wasteful of valuable space and they were looking for a very high density storage solution at a competitive price.

Storwell came up with their mobile storage system with steel shelving on clips that offered high capacity and the flexibility that Gwent Police were looking from their Uniforms store.

A wide range of fibreboard and plastic bins complimented the steel shelving to store smaller items such as badges, batteries and spare buttons for the uniforms.

The whole Uniform stores system was supplied, delivered and installed in just one week which kept the disruption to a minimum.
